DC League of Super Pets Movie Review

The origin story of Superman’s best pal, Krypto, is a delightfully silly one. The movie is chock-full of DC Comics gags, including a Jonah Hex-themed steakhouse in downtown Metropolis. Krypto even sings an impromptu song for the hero. DC fans will be pleasantly surprised by the film’s humorous approach to a familiar story.

The film stars Dwayne Johnson as the superhero dog Krypto and John Krasinski as the comic book supervillain Lex Luthor. Together, they must team up with the rest of the Super-Pets to save Superman from a supervillain. Ace, an invincible dog, and Merton, a fast turtle, round out the team. The DC League of Super-Pets is set to open in 63 foreign territories this weekend, with a box office potential of 76%.
